Happy birthday to Joshua Reynolds, Liberal Democrat MP for Maidenhead

Born in Maidenhead, he was educated at Furze Platt Senior School and Cardiff Metropolitan University. Prior to becoming an MP he worked as a supermarket manager. In 2019 Reynolds was elected as a councillor for Windsor and Maidenhead Borough Council, serving as cabinet member for communities and leisure 2023-24. Also in 2019 he stood against Theresa May in Maidenhead. He increased the vote by 13.2% putting the party in 2nd place behind May. May stood down for the 2024 election and Reynolds gained the seat for the Lib Dems with a majority of 2,963, defeating Tania Mathias who had been the Conservative MP for Twickenham 2015-17 and becoming the first non-Tory MP in the town for over 100 years.
