Happy birthday to Luke Taylor, MP for Sutton and Cheam

Born and raised in Lincolnshire where his father fought several elections for the Liberal Democrats from 1992 to 2001, Luke Taylor was educated at De Aston School in Market Rasen and Imperial College, graduating from the latter with a Masters in Aeronautical Engineering and was employed by an aviation consulting firm. Between 2022 and 26 he served as a Lib Dem councillor for the London Borough of Sutton. Selected to contest Sutton and Cheam at the 2024 general election he regained the seat from the Conservatives with a majority of 3,801. In the House of Commons Luke Taylor is the party spokesperson for London and is a member of the Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Select Committee.
