Sir Robert Thomas wins the Anglesey by-election

The by-election was caused by the death of the sitting Independent Labour MP Sir Owen Thomas. Robert Thomas, a ship and insurance broker and former Liberal MP for Wrexham held off the challenge of official Labour and Conservative opponents. He held the seat until retiring in 1929 and was succeeded by Megan Lloyd George.
