The foundation stone of a new Liberal Club at Market Rasen, Lincolnshire is laid by Sir Robert Perks, Liberal MP for Louth (1892-1910). He urges that no intoxicants should be sold on the premises to prevent the place from becoming like other Liberal Clubs which were merely drinking saloons and gambling places.
