Munira Wilson has been the Liberal Democrat MP for Twickenham since 2019. Trained as a tax consultant, Wilson began working for the Liberal Democrats in 2004, firstly for Sue Doughty and then for Nick Clegg. From 2006-10 she was a councillor on Richmond upon Thames Council and at the 2010 general election contested Feltham and Heston, coming third. Selected in 2019 to replace Vince Cable following his retirement, she held Twickenham at the 2019 general election with an increased majority. She now speaks for the party on Health, Wellbeing and Social Care.
